The Water is a state that is fluid, bending, being open and receptive. Its condition is one of purifying, cleansing old wounds. The Water can also beoverwhelming, a condition in which one could drown or be swept away.
The Water is in the House of The Grand Plan (VI), and it represents the mixing of the Stars of Laugh and Bowing. The Water symbolizes the condition of "I BECOME," an outgrowth of the energy of EXTERNALIZING combining with INTEGRATING.

The Candle symbolizes the dedicated part of ourselves. It is promise of the resultsand fruits to come. It is faithful to long-range affairs, plans and goals. Its steady light is not great but constantly illuminating. The Candle is also watching the course of life with a fascinated gaze. And, too, it is passive, waiting for events to shape the future.
The Candle is composed primarily of the Stars of Patience and Aspiration, and it lies in the House of The Dissolution (XII). Therefore, the Candle is expressing "I MERGE" through the energies of IMAGINING and DISCOVERING. It is also an expression of the Sea of Dreams (xii).

The Tongue is the Gift of actually getting something across — communication. The symbol of the Letter has to do with, say, finding the words. The Tongue has to do with finding the right words for the person you are talking to. So to bring out this most basic of gifts, we learn the fine art ofarticulation, to be clear.
The Tongue lies in the House of The Perfect Form (X) and is the Gift of "I PERFECT."
